Management Accountant

We seek a diversely skilled and passionate Management Accountant with Business Analytics experience to join our team. Reporting to the NZ Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will contribute heavily to this journey's success by providing timely and effective monthly management reporting and accurate forecasting.

This permanent full-time role is not an average Management Accounting position; we are after someone who is comfortable stretching their comfort zone to include Business Analytics partnership skills as well.

About the role

Supporting the Financial Controller, and as a key contributor within the finance team you will: 

  • Complete month-end rebates and reporting 
  • Process general journals
  • Build forecasts to assist business planning and decision-making
  • Assist in annual budgets
  • Help create analytical dashboards to “tell the story”
  • Analysis of historical financials and variance explanations
  • Become a business partner to the business functions

About you

With 5+ years of experience in the Manufacturing or FMCG sector, you will join us with an innovative and progressive mind. You are someone who enjoys contributing ideas. You are a problem solver and can think through ways to simplify processes without cutting out steps or quality standards. You love seeking out better and more efficient ways to complete a task.

It goes without saying that you possess exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, who can relate to people with varying work styles and adapt accordingly. Your in-depth knowledge of ERP systems like SAP is exemplary, as is your proficiency with complex data sets and tools for predicting business trends using tools like Power BI.

Most of all, you are professional and driven to achieve continuous improvement with a proactive approach to your work, willing to take opportunities as they present themselves.
