Electric Water Heaters

Wetback 16513513

Wetback

Model Number: Wetback 16513513

Rheem Low Pressure Wetbacks can reduce your hot water heating costs by supplementing your hot water needs.

Because wood is a renewable energy source, wetbacks can also reduce the environmental impacts of your hot water heating.

How they work

Wetback's are a low pressure water heater designed with extra connections for supplementary heating. That means a pipe arrangement that fits in the back of a heat source (often a firebox).

Water from your hot water cylinder is circulated through these pipes, sometimes by a small pump, and is heated using some of the heat from the fire.

When connected to an appropriate burner, a wetback provides a boost to water heating during the coldest parts of the year. Rheem wetback water heaters are ideal for colder climates where space heating is used frequently.
